Competitive Mindset

 Playing online games is my favorite hobby because it creates bonds between me and my friends, especially during pandemics. Playing online games is the only thing that keeps me entertained during the lockdown, so I started to play online games seriously. Because my group of friends had a dream of being professional players in online games, we started to play Mobile Legends Bang Bang seriously. We were constantly queuing five-player ranks and started to watch some professional league called the MPL. We learned how to draft, improved our chemistry, and identified how to counter the enemy heroes. I take seriously how to draft carefully and predict the picks and banning of heroes of the enemy team because I find it interesting that you have to use your mind to make strategies and analyze the game to outplay or outdraft the enemy team and win the game.

 As time passed, my team in Mobile Legends became bored with the game, and they switched to an FPS game named Call of Duty Mobile. I don't want to quit playing Mobile Legends and switch to another game, but playing Mobile Legends is only good if you play with your friends because a solo-ranked queue is very stressful, so I don't have a choice but to switch to a mobile FPS called Call of Duty Mobile, and we also started playing it seriously because someone scouted us and invited us to their team. We started to create strategies, and we started to play with another competitive team called Scrim. We've become so good to the point that we almost changed the main team of our clan and started to become a representative in school tournaments, and we won the championship.

 Playing online games has become my passion because it piques my interest, and I voluntarily want to use my brain to strategize because I love what I am doing. Winning championships is like proving to the doubters that playing online games has nothing to do with our future. As the year passes, my team has lost their willingness to play online games because of the repetitiveness of the game. I really wish that we didn't lose the willingness to play and stay disciplined at that time because we actually had good chemistry together. We have the experience of grinding and losing to the game, and I sensed that we could actually go to the amateur league in both Mobile Legends and Call of Duty Mobile. 

This time, it was really fun to watch Mobile Legends Professional League because it reminded me of how me and my team played the game seriously, and I really admired the one analyst and caster of MPL-PH named Wolf because he flawlessly predicted the picks and bans of both teams and analyzed the game carefully to the point that you gained new in-depth knowledge from him. I am also adapting his knowledge and applying it when I'm watching Mobile Legends Pro League. Playing online games is my favorite interest, and I really hope that I can continue to pursue making it into the eSports industry.
